The Government has published its response to the calls for evidence for the new Aviation Strategy being developed for the UK.  The response titled ‘Beyond the Horizon – The future of UK Aviation: next steps towards an Aviation Strategy’ can be found below together with an accompanying letter from Baroness Sugg.

Campaign group HACAN who are against Heathrow expansion, in conjunction with Plane Hell Action, a local group based in SE London, have released their report ‘Corridors of Concentration’. The report sets out what they believe is the extent of the aircraft noise problem in South East London. It can be downloaded below.

With regard to the consultation on ‘UK Airspace Policy: A framework for balanced decisions on the design and use of airspace’ which was open between February and May 2017, the Government has now responded to this consultation which can be seen here.

On 13th July 2017 the Secretary of State announced new night flight restrictions to take effect at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted from October of this year.
