SASIG response – Draft Aviation Policy Framework, 31 October 2012

In this consultation response, SASIG reinforces the need for the national aviation policy to achieve:
- measurement and reduction of aviation-related noise;
- supporting and improving community engagement;
- reducing aviation’s climate change impacts;
- ensuring aviation policy is developed in line with spatial planning policy and as part of national infrastructure planning;
- regarding airport and airline operations in the context of an integrated transport network;
- promoting the development of regional airports;
- calculating economic benefits using a comprehensive assessment model; and
- capturing economic benefits
