Guests of Honour: Sir Michael Pitt, Chair, Infrastructure Planning Commission; Katrine Sporle, Chief Executive, The Planning Inspectorate and Richard McCarthy, Director General, Housing and Planning, Department for Communities and Local Government

This seminar will consider the way forward for UK planning in light of the Government’s decision to abolish the IPC (Infrastructure Planning Commission) and to re-open consultation on the National Policy Statements for energy infrastructure. Planned sessions consider the impact moving major decisions back to the Secretary of State and creating a new unit at the Planning Inspectorate will have on the UK’s planning system.
