UK airports are to relax the ban on liquids in luggage. The first phase, which begins in April 2011, will allow passengers on EU connecting flights to carry liquids bought in duty free shops. This should help to reduce the over 2,000 tonnes of liquids confiscated at Heathrow each year, according to the Guardian.
