Gatwick Airport railway station is to be refurbished by Network Rail under a programme that will cost £53 million. The programme includes a new platform, refurbishing the concourse, upgrading the track and signalling. Work is due to begin in Autumn 2011 and should be completed by the end of 2013. This project is to be jointly funded by Network Rail and Gatwick Airport.
