Alex Lake, one of the authors of the ICE report entitled ‘Rethinking Aviation’ will present on the differing role of hub airports and regional airport, the demands poosed by airport access and opportunites for domestic fligh alternatives, as well as a reflection on climate change and the environment. Attendees will hear at first hand ICE’s concluding recommendations from the report for the future of aviation infrastrucutre in the UK.
Alex Lake is Direction Aviation (Europe) at consultants AECOM. With 17 years experience in aviation, he has extensive knowledge and experience of airport infrastructure, master planning and design around the Globe. Mr Lake has led many infrastrucutre projects at a large number of UK airports and has most recently been leading the desing of a new runway at the US’s 8th largest airport, Houston Intercontinental.
