The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) provides monthly UK aviation statistics. The total terminal and transit passenger (PAX) figures for October 2010 compared with October 2009 are summarised below:
- for all reporting UK airports in October 2010 – 11,941,768 (compared with 11,486,042 in October 2009), an increase of 3.97%;
- for all reporting regional airports in October 2010 – 3,037,290 (compared with 2,951,523 in October 2009), an increase of 2.91%; and
- for all reporting London airports in October 2010 – 8,904,478 (compared with 8,534,519 in October 2009), an increase of 4.33%.
The total air transport movement (ATM) figures for October 2010 compared with October 2009 are also summarised below:
- for all reporting UK airports in October 2010 – 101,430 (compared with 100,964 in October 2009), an increase of 0.46%;
- for all reporting regional airports in October 2010 – 34,780 (compared with 34,943 in October 2009), a decrease of 0.47%; and
- for all reporting London airports in October 2010 – 66,650 (compared with 66,021 in October 2009), an increase of 0.95%.
