This seminar will consider the new challenges for future growth and greater sustainability in the UK and international aviation industries. Planned sessions assess the tensions between aviation growth and carbon regulation, particularly in view of policy not to grow operations at the UK’s largest airports and the potential impact of international measures governing aviation carbon emissions. Further sessions will also consider the position of the aviation consumer going forward and the overall future modal competitiveness of aviation.
Chris Chalk, Director of Aviation, Mott MacDonald; Andrew Haines, Chief Executive, Civil Aviation Authority; Colin Matthews, Chief Executive Officer, BAA and Rt Hon Theresa Villiers MP, Minister of State for Transport, Department for Transport are all confirmed to deliver keynote addresses at this seminar.
