Ryanair has reported that it carried more passengers in September 2010 than the same period last year. The airline carried 6.84 million passengers in September 2010, which equates to an increase of 12% on the previous year when the airline flew 6.12 million passengers. Load factor for the airline increased by 1% on September 2009 to 86%.
In the 12 months to September 2010 Ryanair carried 71.6 million passengers with an 82% load factor. However, this figure includes up to 1.45 million passengers who were booked to fly on flights that were cancelled due to the volcanic ash crisis.
